These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of digital products and services sold by The Pinckards (“we,” “us,” “our”) through this website, including the Double Exposure Guide, the Double Exposure Guide + Personal Critique bundle, and the Double Exposure Critique Upgrade (together, the “Products”). By purchasing a Product, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Products
Our Products are digital, educational materials and services related to double exposure photography and image compositing. They are not physical goods and nothing is shipped to you.
- Double Exposure Guide — a downloadable PDF guide.
- Double Exposure Guide + Personal Critique — the guide, plus one private 30-minute critique session with Laura Pinckard.
- Double Exposure Critique Upgrade — one private 30-minute critique session with Laura Pinckard, for customers who already own the guide.
2. License to Use the Guide
When you purchase the Double Exposure Guide, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the guide for your own individual educational and creative purposes.
You may not resell, redistribute, share, publicly post, or otherwise make the guide (in whole or in part) available to anyone who has not purchased it themselves. The guide, and all photographs, text, and materials it contains, remain the property of The Pinckards.
3. Critique Sessions
Critique sessions are a private, one-on-one 30-minute video call with Laura Pinckard, scheduled through our third-party scheduling tool. After purchase, you’ll receive a private link to book a time. Critique sessions are subject to Laura’s availability, which is limited.
If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible so we can find another time. Critique sessions are provided as personal, individual feedback on your own work and do not include follow-up editing services unless separately agreed.
4. Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. By completing a purchase, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method for the listed price.
5. Refunds
Because our Products are digital and delivered immediately, all sales are final. Please see our Refund and Returns Policy for full details.
6. Future Course Credit
We intend to offer a full Double Exposure Course in the future. As a thank-you to early customers, we intend to allow amounts spent on the Double Exposure Guide and/or a critique session to be applied as credit toward enrollment in the first enrollment period of that course.
This is a stated intention, not a guaranteed financial instrument: the course does not yet exist, and the exact redemption process, eligibility window, and final terms will be announced when the course becomes available. We will honor the dollar amount you actually paid for Guide and/or critique purchases made before the course’s first enrollment period closes.
7. No Professional Guarantee
Our Products are educational in nature. We do not guarantee any specific creative, technical, or commercial outcome from using the guide or attending a critique session. Results depend on your own equipment, practice, and creative choices.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Pinckards will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your purchase or use of a Product. Our total liability for any claim relating to a Product will not exceed the amount you paid for that Product.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our Products after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
