The Things Couples Ask Us First
Is a micro-wedding the same as an elopement?
Not quite. We generally consider fewer than 10 guests an elopement, 11-20 a micro-wedding, and 21-50 an intimate wedding. A micro or intimate wedding tends to involve a bit more planning, because not everything that is feasible for a small handful of people works when there are several dozen.
Can we still have a full ceremony and reception?
Yes. Vows, a real ceremony, and a celebration afterward are all typically part of it. What changes is the guest count and the amount of production, not whether it’s a real wedding. But there are no rules – your day can look however you want it to, and we’re here to support you in that.
What venues work for this size?
Private estates, small backyards, restaurants, intimate wedding venues, and destination properties all work well. A smaller guest count opens up locations that wouldn’t make sense for a larger wedding.
Do you help with planning?
Yes. We provide planning guidance (not full wedding planning), venue and vendor recommendations, and timeline development as part of every micro and intimate wedding.
We also partner with some of the best in the industry to offer Done-for-You micro wedding experiences that are even more hands off.
Can this be a destination wedding too?
Yes. Many micro-weddings are also destination weddings. For those, full-service planning and design support is available through our Done-for-You experiences.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples reach out 9-12 months in advance, though we can sometimes make shorter notice work. It never hurts to ask.
Do you offer video?
Yes. Photography is the foundation of every wedding, and cinematic film can be added.
