Our Reviews

"Probably my favorite part is that Laura would frequently walk over to show us what she had just taken, saying how good it looked or encouraging us for trying something even though we felt like we looked stupid. It was a huge help for confidence during the shoot. Highly recommend!" - Emily

"After we had our engagement shoot in negative degree temps and about 18 inches of fresh snow in Lake Placid in February, we knew they were the perfect photographers for our fall elopement." - Daniele

As soon as I got engaged I knew we needed to book the Pinckards for our engagement photos! We drove 11 hours in two days just to have them take our pictures, and it was 100% worth it. They helped us with every detail, from what to wear, how to hike without wrinkling my dress, to providing a tent for me to change outfits on top of a mountain. We had the best time hiking with Dan and Laura, and they made both my fiancé and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We couldn’t be happier with how our pictures came out

How, when, where: we'll help you plan the surprise

Whether you already have an idea of how to propose or are still in the brainstorming stage, we're here to help. We've photographed many proposals, so we can give you advice about ways to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Photos that capture the moment perfectly

Things don't always go as planned at proposals (and it can happen very quickly), so it's important to plan accordingly. We always have at least two photographers there to make sure we capture the moment perfectly.

Get engagement pictures after you propose

After you've popped the question, we'll give you and your partner a few minutes to soak in the moment. When you're ready, we can take additional engagement pictures while the excitement is still fresh!
