Luxury Weddings
Luxury Weddings Without the Formula
A private estate for the week. An incredible creative team. A day built entirely around what you actually want, with absolutely no compromises.
If This Sounds Familiar
This isn't generic luxury wedding photography.
A luxury wedding, to us, isn’t one aesthetic or one format. It’s what happens when an exceptional creative team, an extraordinary setting, real hospitality, and a high degree of personalization all come together, so nothing about the day has to be compromised.
That level of experience takes real investment: in the property, the planning, the design, the team you build around you. We photograph weddings for couples already making that investment, and we treat the photography as part of it, not an afterthought.
Luxury Without the Formula
We usually aren’t the photographers for two-hundred-person elegant ballroom weddings. Our clients’ weddings tend to look more like this:
The Villa
Rent it for the week. Bring the people you can’t imagine doing this without. Dinner outside until midnight. Married the next afternoon. The following day, out on the water.
The Château
Fifty guests for the weekend. A planner who has done this a hundred times. A designer who understood the vision on the first call. Everything feels perfect.
The Private Estate
A property with a scenic view, just for your thirty favorite people. Three days, not one. A full creative and hospitality team who all understand your vision.
Luxury isn’t a separate category from intimate or destination weddings. It sometimes overlaps with both. Some of our best days have been all three at once.
The Experience
Everything that makes a wedding feel extraordinary.
You might already be building a team: an experienced planner, an incredibly talented designer, a stunning venue, a florist that can transform a space. The photography should match the same standard as everything else you’ve put together.
Design & Location Collaboration
We study your venue and design plan ahead of time, working with your planner to understand where the light falls and what moments matter most.
Two-Photographer Coverage
We work in tandem throughout the day, capturing the day from two perspectives so nothing that matters goes undocumented. Two professionals, both equally experienced.
Signature Double-Exposures
Our double exposures are one of a kind. They’re often the images couples frame and keep forever. We create them for every client to top off the gallery of already beautiful images.
Full Gallery, Beautifully Delivered
Sneak peeks within days, and your full, high-resolution gallery within 10 weeks. No watermarks, private, downloadable, and absolutely beautiful.
“The Pinckards captured all natural and beautiful photographs. They are great with unconventional weddings that are at national parks, state parks, or a spot with great scenery. I highly recommend them.”
— Jamie, Destination Wedding in Lake Tahoe, CA
Wedding Commissions
Built around your day, not a preset package.
Wedding photography commissions begin at $18,000. Every wedding we photograph is different, so multi-day celebrations, destination weddings, welcome dinners, farewell brunches, film, albums, and additional creative coverage are custom quoted around the scope of your celebration.
You’re already investing seriously in the experience: the property, the planning, the design, the guest experience. Photography shouldn’t be the place where the standard drops after you’ve put so much care into everything else.

Questions
The Things Couples Ask Us First
What makes a wedding a luxury wedding?
An exceptional creative team, an extraordinary setting, real hospitality, and a high degree of personalization, all working toward the same vision so there are no compromises. It’s not one aesthetic, a certain venue, or a specific budget. It’s the level of care and attention to detail across the board, from the communication and planning, to the design, to the finished product.
Can a luxury wedding be intimate, or a destination wedding?
Yes, sometimes luxury weddings are both of those. Luxury describes the level of investment, execution, and hospitality, not the format. Some of our favorite luxury weddings have also been intimate and in incredible destinations.
We’re not just talking about a 200-guest wedding at the most expensive ballroom in your city. The luxury weddings we photograph want everything to be perfect, including the destination and guest count.
Is there a minimum budget or a maximum guest count?
Wedding photography commissions begin at $18,000, with no strict maximum guest count, though we know we aren’t the right fit for every wedding.
This works best for weddings where there’s already a real budget for venue, planning, and design to bring the day to life. That looks very different from wedding to wedding.
If you’re not sure whether it’s the right fit, reach out and we’ll tell you honestly.
Do we need a wedding planner?
For weddings with 50 or more guests, and for celebrations involving significant destination or multi-day logistics, yes. We require a professional planner to be part of the team so everyone can focus fully on what they do best. If you haven’t chosen one yet, we’re happy to recommend planners who may be a good fit.
A venue coordinator typically focuses on the venue itself, so depending on the scope of the wedding, we may still require a dedicated wedding planner.
Do you work with our wedding planner?
Yes. We collaborate closely with wedding planners and the rest of your team to protect the timeline and make sure every detail gets documented with just as much care as they put into designing it.
“We are a planning firm that had the pleasure of planning a destination wedding that the Pinckards photographed. They were so easy to work with, gave valuable input ahead of time and had a calm but fun energy on wedding day. They are a stellar day of team.. Our team would be honored to serve another couple alongside these two!“– Bridget Davis, destination wedding planner
Do you travel internationally?
Yes. We photograph weddings throughout the Mid-Atlantic and worldwide, wherever the venue and vision take you.
What does a luxury wedding photographer do differently?
We study the property and design plan ahead of time, work closely with your existing vendor team rather than around them, and bring a signature creative approach, including double exposures, alongside documentary storytelling that doesn’t turn the day into a photo shoot.
Do you offer video?
Yes. Photography is the foundation of every wedding, and cinematic film can be added.
How far in advance should we book?
For luxury weddings, the more lead time the better. Most couples inquire at least 18 months before their date. Sometimes 24+ months.
We can sometimes make shorter notice work. It never hurts to ask.
“We got so many compliments from people saying our wedding pictures are the most beautiful they’ve ever seen.” — Kaitlyn, Destination Wedding in NY
Your Wedding Day Only Happens Once.
We take a limited number of weddings each year to make sure every couple gets our full attention. If your date is available, let’s talk.
