What we believe about eloping

The most meaningful days don’t require an audience.

We got married in 2016. Two hundred guests, a packed timeline, a day that moved too fast. It was beautiful… and we barely experienced it. That day is part of why we do this work the way we do.

An elopement isn’t a compromise. It’s a choice. It’s choosing presence over performance, meaning over logistics, each other over everything else. We’ve been part of hundreds of them. Not one has ever felt small.

If you are still figuring it out

You do not have to already know that eloping is right for you.

Most of the couples who find their way to us did not start with a clear answer. They started with a feeling: that something about the traditional path did not quite fit. That the planning process felt heavier than it should. That the wedding they were being pulled toward did not actually sound like them.

That feeling is worth paying attention to. We have helped dozens of couples work through that question honestly, and we will never pressure anyone toward an answer that is not genuinely theirs. If you are in that place right now, we have a page that might help you think it through.

Is eloping right for you? →

  • You love each other and you want to be married. Everything else feels negotiable.
  • The planning process has felt more stressful than exciting from the start.
  • You keep imagining a different kind of day than the one you feel like you are supposed to have.
  • You want to be present on your wedding day, not performing for an audience of two hundred.
  • The experience of being married matters more to you than the event of the wedding.
  • You have a place in your mind that feels meaningful, and it is not a traditional venue.
  • You would rather invest in an extraordinary experience than a large reception.

Where we go

We’ve photographed elopements in stunning places across the country & world. We’ll go wherever your story takes you, including:

Italy

Amalfi Coast & Tuscany

Cliffside ceremonies above the Tyrrhenian Sea. Vineyard vows in the Chianti hills. A private boat ride at sunset.

Italy

The Dolomites

Dramatic alpine landscapes, rose-gold peaks at golden hour, and an otherworldly silence that makes every moment feel cinematic.

France

Paris & Provence

The Eiffel Tower at dawn. Lavender fields in bloom. The South of France in summer light. Timeless backdrops for couples who want images that last generations.

New York

The Adirondacks

Our original home. Mist on the mountain lakes, dense forest trails, and some of the most dramatic light in the Northeast. We know every corner.

Pennsylvania & Mid-Atlantic

Local & Regional

Rolling farmland, historic estates, river gorges, and coastal bluffs. The Mid-Atlantic has more elopement potential than most couples realize.

Worldwide

Everywhere Else

Iceland. Patagonia. Greece. Scotland. Japan. If you can dream it, we’ll find a way to get there. Our passport is well-used and our bags are always ready.

Who this is for

The couples who choose to elope are not all the same. But they share something.

They all reached the same conclusion: that the most important thing about their wedding day was being fully present in it. Here are the kinds of couples we work with most.

01

The overwhelmed couple

You got engaged and immediately felt the weight of everyone else’s expectations. The guest list grew before you could stop it. The budget conversation was exhausting before it started. Somewhere along the way, the wedding started to feel like it belonged to other people rather than to you. You want a day that belongs to you again.

02

The authenticity-seekers

You look at a traditional wedding and think: that is not us. You are not anti-celebration. You are anti-performance. The idea of standing in a venue chosen for its capacity, saying vows in front of people you feel obligated to invite, doing a reception you have seen a hundred times before, does not feel like a meaningful beginning to your marriage.

03

The experience-driven couple

Your relationship has been built around doing things together. Traveling. Seeking out places and moments that feel significant. The idea of spending the most important day of your lives in a banquet hall for six hours sounds like the opposite of everything you love about your life together. You want a wedding day that actually feels like your life.

The Pinckards are amazing. We eloped with them in June of 2024 and they went above and beyond for us. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is lookig to elope. You will not be disappointed and honestly there’s no one better than this duo.

We research and scout your location personally — identifying the best spots for your ceremony, portraits, and any adventure activities you want included.

05

Full-day photography

Dan and Laura photograph together, capturing every part of your day — the getting ready, the ceremony, the portraits, the quiet moments in between.

06

Gallery delivery

A curated sneak peek within days. Your full high-resolution gallery, beautifully edited and organized, within eight weeks.

Investment

Every elopement is priced around what it actually takes to do it right.

No two elopements are the same. A cliffside ceremony in the Adirondacks and a three-day celebration on the Amalfi Coast require completely different levels of planning, travel, and time. We don’t believe in fitting either into a preset package.

Elopement collections begin at $8,400 for local and regional experiences. Destination elopements are quoted individually based on location, duration, and what you want included. Most couples invest between $9,000 – $18,000 depending on scope and destination.

My husband and I are still so pleased with our decision to hire Dan & Laura. We eloped in Yosemite and from start to finish, they were there every step of the way. They are incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and by the end of our day with them, they felt like family to us. Our photos and our cinematic video were absolutely beautiful and delivered to us in a timely manner. I couldn’t recommend this duo enough!!!
