Have a question about eloping?

Here are answers to frequently asked questions

There isn't necessarily a cookie cutter approach to elopements. Technically, the only requirement is that you have a marriage license and get it signed. The rest is up to you!

Some couples choose to go on a grand adventure, and others choose to keep it more laid back. Most of our clients want fun memories together doing something that's meaningful to them & also choose to prioritize stunning photos in epic locations.

Our booking process is pretty straightforward. After you contact us (which you can do here!), we can chat about details & then send you a booking link. The link will give you a few package options to look through, and then there's a contract to sign.

After you sign the contract, it will take you to a payment portal to pay the nonrefundable deposit ($2,500) to officially book with us.

Yes, sometimes!

We don't accept every large wedding, because we want to prioritize elopements. On average, we photograph 5-10 large weddings each year.

Most of our clients book with us 10-18 months in advance. That being said, if you're flexible with choosing a date, we sometimes can schedule elopements with shorter notice than that.

Yes, definitely! We know of a ton of great locations for elopements.

Whether you want to hike to the top of a mountain or elope somewhere more accessible, we'd be more than happy to help you choose the perfect spot.

Yes, a lot of our clients bring a handful of guests with them! The one thing to be aware of is that, the more guests you bring, the harder it is to find a location that will work well for your elopement.

No, definitely not! A lot of our clients don't want to hike on their wedding day, and that's totally fine. Hiking is a great option if it's something that you enjoy, but you shouldn't do it if it will make you miserable!

This is a question we get from probably 60% of our couples, but if you look at our photos, you'd never think that any of them looked gross or sweaty!

We always leave plenty of time for cooling / drying off after hiking, and we take our time editing each photo to make sure you look stunning.

"Laura and Dan made our elopement incredibly memorable.

They were professional and easy to communicate with from our first email. They were very thoughtful in helping us brainstorm the day, provided suggestions for location, time table, and it was convenient that Dan is ordained to legally marry couples!

Not to mention, their artistic lens is one-of-a-kind. Working with the Pinckards has given us memories to last a lifetime."

"The Pinckards were AMAZING in every way!!

I was so nervous to elope due to what my family would think and I also have always been shy behind a camera my whole life, but they made everything feel so comfortable and natural.

They reminded us it’s our day and all about us! And the pictures came out so beautiful I still tear up looking at them!"

Ashlynn

"Dan & Laura were hands down the easiest & BEST decision while planning our elopement.

They are both a dream to work with, and are all around wonderful. We can’t begin to express how great our experience was with Laura and Dan. They are both very personable, professional, kind, and truly care about your vision. The quality and style of their photos is beyond incredible, and they make it such an enjoyable time. We couldn't be happier with the end results!"
